Varsovie : l'émouvant musée de l'Insurrection. --- Warsaw: th Museume moving Uprising

This contributes to an assumed willingness to immerse the visitor in a heavy, heavy atmosphere.

The Warsaw Uprising: the massacre of the population
The historic assumption of the museum covers both the German occupation that the establishment of the communist regime in the fighting bringing much pain and punishment to the people of Warsaw. It was in early August 1944 that the Polish resistance attacked the Germans with the limited means at its disposal against a better equipped Wehrmacht. Nearly 150 000 Polish massacred after two months of fierce fighting. We will remember waiting guilty of the Red Army on the other side of the Vistula river bordering Warsaw, leaving the insurgents massacred by the German army.

The Uprising Museum discovers chronologically. Enjoy a wealth of photos, videos and historical elements extremely well documented and accompanied by a haunting soundtrack that reminds heartbeat. The focus is on the determination and patriotism of the insurgents to liberate Warsaw from the German yoke. The tribute is paid to the great figures of the uprising and thousands of anonymous.
The reconstruction of an underground printing press, the various uniforms of the Polish resistance and its ranks, the replica of the refueling aircraft that sank over Warsaw or the weapons used by the Poles and the Germans are so clues that contributes to the exciting lighting of the period.

Note extremely violent series of pictures and videos on executions and the barbarity of the Wehrmacht perpetrated on the insurgents and the population of Warsaw. They are positioned in two raised concrete structures in order to limit the viewing to adults.

--- Art Museum of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with exhibition dedicated to the Princess Leopoldina

Art Museum of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with exhibition dedicated to the Princess Leopoldina

Rio Art Museum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, currently has an exhibition dedicated to the woman who was Princess of Brazil and queen consort of Portugal and the Algarve, for two months in 1826: Princess Leopoldina.

Carolina Josefa Leopoldina of Habsburg-Lorraine
(Vienna, January 22, 1797
Rio de Janeiro, December 11, 1826).

With the name 'Leopoldina, Princess of independence, the arts and sciences' this exhibition aims to present to the public the life of one of the most important personalities in the process of emancipation of Brazil. Next year, on 5 November, celebrates 200 years since its arrival in the Brazilian city.

Known as Maria Leopoldina, she was the first wife of Emperor Dom Pedro I and Empress Consort of the Empire of Brazil 1822 until his death, also briefly being Queen Consort of the Kingdom of Portugal and Algarves between March and May 1826. She was the daughter of the emperor Francis I of Austria and his second wife Maria Teresa of Sicily.

Leopoldina belonged to the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, noble family and one of the oldest dynasties of Europe, which reigned over Austria 1282 to 1918, among other territories reigned and was the oldest ruling house in Europe when Leopoldina was born.

She was the daughter of the last emperor of the Holy Roman Empire Francisco II (which, from 1804, became only the "Emperor of Austria" with the title of Francis I, because Napoleon I demanded that he renounce the title emperor in the year that Napoleon was sacred emperor of the French, and his second wife and cousin Maria Teresa Sicily, princess of the Two Sicilies, a branch of the House of Bourbon, as was the daughter of king Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies and his wife, Maria Carolina of Austria.

Francisco, his father was a widower of Isabel of Württemberg, who died childless in 1790; marry for the third time with Maria Louise of Austria-Este, who Leopoldina called "mother", who had no children and died in 1816; and married a fourth and final time with Caroline Augusta of Bavaria, who died in 1873 without children.

The full name of the Archduchess of Austria, who would be the first empress of Brazil, was Carolina Josefa Leopoldina Francisca Fernanda Habsburg-Lorraine, as reported by his biographer and great scholar of his life, Charles H. Oberacker Jr, in his work " The Empress Leopoldina: His Life and His Era ", confirmed also by the work" Letters of an Empress, "Bettina Kann and other authors..

In one of the essays presented in the book, it is cited an excerpt from published in the Austrian newspaper "Wiener Zeitung" of 25 January 1797, giving birth News Archduchess Carolina Josefa Leopoldina, happened three days earlier, on Sunday, 22 from January. Informa Oberacker Jr. (p. 301 and 302) that the name "Mary" is not among the first names of the Archduchess, which in fact is true. According to him, Leopoldina has already use it on your trip to Brazil, when dealing with some particular business.

In Brazil, she went on to sign only Leopoldina, or using the pre-name Mary, as can be seen in his oath to the Constitution of Brazil. Another hypothesis also presented by the same author is that Leopoldina had adopted the name "Maria" for his great devotion to the Virgin and the fact that all Portuguese infantas use this name.

--- The Museum of the Portuguese Language, should be reopened in 2018

Várias empresas portuguesas no Brasil vão contribuir.

The Museum of the Portuguese Language, should be reopened in 2018.

The reconstruction project will begin on Monday and part of the resources needed for the work and purchase of new equipment will come from contributions of Portuguese companies in Brazil. The Roberto Marinho Foundation, which is a partner of the museum, will coordinate this funding.

The President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, visiting the historic building of the Light Station (where the museum is located), said that there is a firm commitment to entrepreneurs to support this project. The insurance of R $ 42 million, should cover about two-thirds required for the museum back to work. This group of companies should contribute much of the R $ 20 million in excess of the insurance coverage.

- The insurance pays two-thirds of reconstruction. It will be a museum of the future, facing the digital. Several Portuguese companies in Brazil will contribute. The works will start by the beginning of next year and I believe the museum will be able to reopen in 2018 - told reporters on Sunday.

Sousa, who came to Brazil for the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympics, has already been met with the president of the Roberto Marinho Foundation, José Roberto Marinho, the governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin, and the deputy secretary of Culture, José Roberto Sadek.

For him, Brazil is the country that is able to promote the culture of the Portuguese language.

SEDEK said the emergency works cost around R $ 3 million and that tomorrow will begin the civil design phase, which will determine how the intervention and what is needed will be made. actually works must start between the end of the year and early next year.

- The insurance will not cover everything, because we use more modern protective equipment and exposure than the existing 15 years ago, when the museum was planned. We will use the most modern equipment possible - he said.

The fire of December 21, 2015 was the second in the history of the building and left a dead brigade. Here's how were the Museum's premises before the fire hit the spot.

The first occurred in the early hours of November 6, 1946 and had great coverage GLOBE. The reconstruction, funded by the government, lasted five years and added a new floor of the building - so far with two floors.

Established 115 years ago, the Luz Station building was gateway to distinguished visiting São Paulo, as well as immigrants. After decay, he resurfaced with the Museum of the Portuguese Language in 2006.
