Vatican City (Xinhua) - The Vatican Museums and the China Culture Industrial Investment Fund presented on Tuesday in the Holy See Press Office the two exhibitions that, from spring 2018, will be open to visitors at the museums at the same time Vatican and the Forbidden City in Beijing.

In this sense, the joint exhibitions "Anima Mundi: human, nature and harmony" in the Vatican, and "Beauty unites us: the journey in the wonderful harmony between the Chinese people and the Vatican Museums" in China, intend to witness how art can be an instrument of dialogue and a meeting point between human beings from diverse cultures, women and men committed to reflect on the meaning of a good life in harmony with nature.
Among the works of art selected for the exhibition at the Vatican Museums, there will be 12 paintings by Chinese Zhang Yan, among them "Iron Staff", donated to the Pope, as well as part of the permanent collection of the "Anima Mundi" Museum, Vatican Museums .
There will be 40 works of art from the Pope's Museums: 30 pieces of ancient Chinese art from the Anima Mundi Museum collection, a work of the Vatican Pinacoteca and the painting Cradling Arms by the painter Zhang Yan, is also donated to the Holy Father.
The exhibition, after the Forbidden City, will go to other major cities in China.
A second press conference presenting the initiative, which will include a delegation of the Vatican Museums, will be held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on November 27.

Vaticano e China unidos pela beleza da arte.
Cidade do Vaticano (RV) – Os Museus Vaticanos e o China Culture Industrial Investment Fund apresentaram esta terça-feira, na Sala de Imprensa da Santa Sé, as duas exposições que, a partir da primavera de 2018, estarão abertas a visitas contemporaneamente nos Museus Vaticanos e na Cidade Proibida em Pequim.
“A Beleza nos une” é o nome desta iniciativa dos Museus do Papa e do Fundo chinês, um projeto nascido com a intenção de criar formas de colaboração cultural por meio da linguagem universal da arte, o que permitiu que, pela primeira vez, que os Museus Vaticanos organizassem uma Mostra em parceria com instituições culturais chinesas.
Pronunciaram-se a Diretora dos Museus Vaticanos, Barbara Jatta, o Delegado Administrativo dos Museus, Mons. Paolo Nicolini, o Curador do Museu Anima Mundi dos Museus Vaticanos, Padre Nicola Mapelli, o Secretário Geral do China Culture Industrial Investment Fund e o Mestre Zhang Yan.
“A Beleza é um veículo extraordinário para falar sempre, em cada latitude e longitude, física ou temporal que seja – enfatizou Barbara Jatta – sem medo, sem barreiras. Considero que está nisto a chave do sucesso daquela que nos Museus amamos definir como “a diplomacia da arte”, e penso que seja isto que o Santo Padre espera de seus Museus”.
“Este evento – declarou por sua vez Jiancheng Zhu – é muito importante por promover a mútua compreensão e a confiança recíproca, o que fortalecerá ulteriormente a amizade e a normalização das relações diplomáticas entre China e Vaticano”.
Neste sentido, as exposições conjuntas “Anima Mundi: humano, natureza e harmonia”, no Vaticano, e “A Beleza nos une: a viagem na maravilhosa harmonia entre o povo chinês e os Museus Vaticanos”, na China, pretendem testemunhar como a arte pode ser um instrumento de diálogo e dimensão de encontro entre seres humanos de diversas culturas, mulheres e homens comprometidos em refletir sobre o significado de uma vida boa, em harmoniosa relação com a natureza.
Entre as obras de arte selecionadas para a mostra junto aos Museus Vaticanos, estarão 12 pinturas do chinês Zhang Yan, entre as quais “Iron Staff”, doada ao Papa, além de parte da coleção permanente do Museu “Anima Mundi”, dos Museus Vaticanos.
Dos Museus do Papa sairão 40 obras de arte: 30 peças de arte antiga chinesa da coleção do Museu Anima Mundi, uma obra da Pinacoteca Vaticana e a pintura Cradling Arms, do pintor Zhang Yan, também esta doada ao Santo Padre.
A exposição, após a Cidade Proibida, irá para outras grandes metrópoles da China.
Uma segunda coletiva de imprensa de apresentação da iniciativa, da qual tomará parte uma delegação dos Museus Vaticanos, se realizará na Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, em Pequim, em 27 de novembro.
