Projeto de lei foi aprovado ontem pela Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia

O bloco afro Olodum agora é patrimônio cultural imaterial do estado. 

A Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia aprovou o projeto de Lei 22.249/ 2017, que reconhece o Olodum como patrimônio cultural imaterial do Estado da Bahia, em votação na noite de ontem. 

A proposta é da deputada Luiza Maia (PT), que destacou a importância da entidade: “Olodum é guardião da cultura viva baiana e merece esse reconhecimento oficial dos poderes públicos. 

Além do sucesso no âmbito da música, o Olodum cuida de projetos sociais, desenvolve ações de combate à discriminação racial e luta pela garantia dos direitos humanos. 

É preciso valorizar essas ações da entidade, que promovem a cultura baiana. Além disso, o legado do Olodum serve de exemplo para outros grupos afrodescendentes”, justificou.
