Delhi and New York. Street Style During Fashion Week 2017.

Fashion month might be over across most of the cities such as New York, London, Milan, Paris and now Delhi but some of the looks spotted off the runway just makes us feel that fashion week is never over.

After following all our favourite stars and celebrities on the streets of New York recently, we are now onto what went down off the runway during Amazon Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2017. This time we thought it would be interesting to compare how around the same time and at the same type of event, the street style differs in the two cities.

That’s right, we are comparing New York street style with Delhi street style and it has been a lot of fun for us.

The biggest difference that you will notice and something you have to keep in mind is the weather in the two cities were completely different, it was still very cold in New York and in Delhi summer pretty much just started for us.

The comparison is was a little difficult as most of the looks from New York street style were covered under everyone’s big jackets, fur coats, leather jackets, trench coats and sweatshirts! However it is fashion and you always spot either a pair of shoe, fringe, detail, color or cut that you can compare because after all everyone wants to be a street style star.

It’s nice to see how everyone around the world are on the same page when it comes to following the fashion trends but at the same time very amusing when you see one trend done in two extremely different ways and when one is just completely off.

We have put together a gallery of New York street style vs. Delhi street style of all the similar looks we found from the streets during fashion week.

"Loulé Territories, Memories, Identities", the new temporary exhibition at the National Archaeological Museum, is already under construction.

"Everything here speaks of a time before history, in which Africa was united to Europe, and at the same time it hides everything." Later, much later, when the herbs gave flowers, and there were already men to harvest them, Successive peoples of the prehistoric world here came to settle, because there was good soil, bright sun and calm sea, and it was after age, they were leaving the trail of their manufacturing hands in the generous soil they inhabited. Loulé's Lands continue to be a peaceful place, a mother's place, a place to receive all those who come for good. What other words to use? The words of those who love are always banal. "(Lídia Jorge, in Exhibition Catalog)

The exhibition is a joint initiative of the National Archaeological and Municipal Museums of Loulé and brings together more than 500 cultural assets that bear witness to the last seven millennia of history of the largest and most populated municipality in the Algarve, Loulé.

Resulting from the Protocol of collaboration between the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage / National Museum of Archeology and the Municipality of Loulé, celebrated on March 8, 2016, "Loulé. Territories, Memories, Identities "is an exhibition that is part of a long tradition of cooperation between the National Archaeological Museum and the local authorities.

Curated by Victor S. Gonçalves, Catarina Viegas and Amílcar Guerra, from the University of Lisbon, Helena Catarino, from the University of Coimbra and Luís Filipe Oliveira, from the University of the Algarve, and associated with the themes that treat other collaborators, the exhibition reveals the occupation From the Prehistory to the Middle Ages with a collection coming from several institutions of the country, which besides being a rich archaeological legacy, reveals the umbilical relationship that the National Archaeological Museum has with Loulé and the Algarve.

For one simple reason: the foundational collections of the National Museum of Archeology are closely linked to the Algarve and Loulé.
First of all, because in 1894 it was integrated into the collection of the Museum the collection gathered by the Algarve Estacio da Veiga, which was then proposed to create the Archaeological Museum of the Algarve. In addition, the ethnographer Manuel Viegas Guerreiro, a native of Querença and consequently a Loulean, was Director of the National Museum of Archeology between 1974 and 1975. He was also one of the closest collaborators of José Leite de Vasconcelos, founder of the National Museum of Archeology, and a Of the most prominent scholars and continuator of his work.

Vítor Aleixo, Mayor of Loulé, commented on this partnership in terms of foresight, saying that this is one of the most important events of the year 2017 for the county: "For many months we will be on the showcase of the country, with an exhibition Organized in collaboration with the National Museum of Archeology, in the west wing of the Jeronimos Monastery. It will be a high moment, because Loulé has never shown this way. "

(Lídia Jorge, in Catálogo da Exposição)
