The museums find a new youth in France.

Close to 200 new or renovated projects are underway. A good health is explained in particular by an increase in attendance of about 8.19% of museum establishments in France.

Despite the state of emergency and the recent attack in the Louvre, museums are popular. There would be close to 200 projects open, according to Europe 1, while on average there are already on average twelve "museums of France" per department.

Among all these works are those such as the Musée de la Marine of Paris, which recently closed its doors for the next five years, as well as those of the Carnavalet in the heart of the Marais, devoted to the history of the city of light , Which will be completed in 2020.

In Roubaix, it is the swimming pool, the museum of art and industry whose expansion of more than 2000 m² will end in the fall of 2018. And in Gironde, Bordeaux, Museum of the sea and Of the Navy will come out of the ground in the spring of the same year. The restoration work of the Ingres Museum in Montauban is expected to be completed by 2019.

The reason for this renewal would simply be a growing demand on the part of tourists for museums. Between 2009 and 2015, the number of visitors increased from 56 million to 61 million per year, an increase of around 8.19% still reporting Europe 1.

According to Marie-Christine Labourdette, director of the museums of France, questioned by the radio, this increase of frequentation does not fall from the sky. "We are far from the galleries of dusty paintings," she says. Notably thanks to initiatives like Unesco, the #MuseumWeek on Twitter, which increases the visibility of collections on the internet.

"When the French are asked what word they associate most spontaneously with the word culture, they answer museum," exclaims the director. "The museum has a number of characteristics which, in our changing world, are highly appreciated by the public. That is to say, both a guarantee of authenticity, and it is also educational institutions, which form a social bond, that are for the attention of all publics ".

National heritage. An ever-more vivid memory. - Património nacional. Uma memória cada vez mais viva.

There is a growth that can be considered already exponential in the number of visitors to the National Monuments, Museums and Palaces. And if this reflects the increase in tourism, there are also signs that Portugal is awakening to its beauty through the eyes of outsiders.

Almost 900 years takes this country and even before the territory already had its memories, ruins admiring the centuries, the passage of time. And it is here, in the 21st century, after decades of such a great democratic contempt for Heritage, that there seems to be signs of renewed interest in the old soul of this country. In the last five years, the Monuments, Museums and Palaces under the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage (DGPC) saw the number of visitors increase by more than 1.5 million, with a growth rate of 44.5%, a situation that is expected Continue to evolve positively.

The data from that institute indicate that, in the period between 2011 and 2016, not only has there been sustained growth, but in only two cases - Conímbriga Monographic Museum and National Costume Museum - in the 23 cultural -6.2%) of visits. And it should be noted the extraordinary performance of the National Museum Machado de Castro in Coimbra, which, if in 2012 had 34 thousand visitors, last year exceeded 110 thousand. But it is the National Museum of the Cars that continues to lead in number of visitors, and in the period under review went from 191 thousand to more than 382 thousand, with a growth rate of 100%.

The same trend is observed at the Monuments level, with the Jerónimos Monastery registering a growth of almost 50%, having received more than one million visitors in 2016, and the National Pantheon to grow 115% in those five years, with 120 thousand Visitors last year. In both palaces - Ajuda and Mafra - the signs are equally encouraging. And if tourism was a major driver, with foreign admissions growing 100% in the last five years, DGPC figures make it clear that the Portuguese are also allowing themselves to be motivated, and in the case of museums, national entries have grown In 22.6%.

Perhaps the country has stumbled in its pride, even in a kind of vanity, looking much more into the mirror, becoming more advanced after the strange eyes linger on him. Like a girl who finds herself ugly, full of complexes, but who transcends adolescence and falls on the side of grace, beginning to turn heads in the street. The foreigners seem to have convinced not only the girl and the girl, but the rest of the friends, from the city to the province, necessarily going through the countryside and the beaches, that Portugal is no longer just entitled to an approval for its picturesque charm, Gain fame, and is enjoying its most dissolute stage. The danger, of course, is to be dazzled and not to invest so that, after this phase, something more persists, a charm, a confidence, a conviction in its value.

Last Sunday, and on the initiative of the PCP, the admission to museums and national monuments, on Sundays and public holidays, was returned free of charge until 2:00 pm for all residents in the national territory. After the vote of the deputies that allowed the replacement of this "emblematic measure for the Portuguese to know more and better museums", as classified by the Minister of Culture, Luís Filipe Castro Mendes took as his this reversion of a measure taken by the previous government, in 2014 - at which time the tickets became free only on the first Sunday of each month, throughout the day, and the DGPC then created a ticket for large families. "It is a reversal of a measure that will benefit all residents in national territory. It makes museums more vivid. And this will increase human qualification, the creative spirit and the knowledge, "he said.

Yesterday, the DGPC also highlighted, as a positive note, the entry of four new museums to the Portuguese Museums Network. Thus, the Douro Museum, Batalha Municipal Museum, Loulé Municipal Museum and Porto's Misericórdia Museum began to integrate since yesterday the network of 149 museums officially recognized for their technical quality in the performance of museum functions.

On the other hand, the same entity had communicated, just hours earlier, precisely those kind of unusual situations that not infrequently call into question a better action in defense and promotion of the Patrimony. The Directorate General reported that the National Museum of Ancient Art (MNAA) was partially closed and the reason was that seven of the hired guards were detained. The rooms were closed "to ensure the safety of spaces". The solution found for «this atypical situation», as recognized by the DGPC, will involve the outsourcing of vigilantes, a process that the entity says has triggered immediately so that the MNAA resumes «its normal functioning in the shortest time '.

On the page of the museum that hosts the most important public collection of ancient Portuguese art, there is a notice to inform you that, from Tuesday to Friday, floors 01 and 02 are completely closed, hosting the exhibitions of Portuguese furniture, French decorative arts , Jewelery, jewelery, art of expansion and ceramics. It is also closed daily - between 12 a.m. and 3 p.m. - the 03 floor, with the collection of Portuguese painting and sculpture, where are some of the most important pieces of the museum, among them the Panels of St. Vincent.

In 2016, the MNAA was the second museum that attracted more visitors, surpassing 175 thousand entries. And if the evolution between 2011 and 2016 is clearly positive, having grown 36% in that period, it was in 2014 that received more visitors, more than 221 thousand, falling to near 164 thousand the following year. In what has already elapsed of the year, this museum maintains the second position among those that attract more visitors, with about 50 thousand.

The Sun tried several times, without success, to obtain from the DGPC more data regarding the management of the Heritage, namely the data on the revenues and expenses with the different ones with cultural equipments that it protects.

On July 2, the Minister announced the first free Sunday with a morning visit to the Machado de Castro National Museum, where he was presented by the poet João Miguel Fernandes Jorge, the Machado de Castro National Museum 100 years / 100 Obras, A preface by Castro Mendes. Noting the centennial of the opening to the public, which actually took place on October 11, 2013, having opened the museum for the first time in 1913, the museum publishes a luxurious catalog of the responsibility of its director, Ana Alcoforado. In the anodyne preface that he signs, Castro Mendes says that "the choice of 100 pieces that illustrate this book was certainly a difficult task", and emphasizes that "the criterion chosen shapes what should be the great guiding principle of the activity of museums in the century To serve the public, inspire the public and learn from the public. " The future of museums lies precisely in their ability to create two-way links with their audiences, be they physical visitors, virtual visitors or surrounding communities.

A wooden house with a mezzanine on a high stone basement with two rizalits and mezzanine from the side of the courtyard refers to the characteristic buildings of Moscow after the fire of the 1820s. The first known plan for home ownership dates back to 1822, when the building belonged to E.P. Solntseva. Since then, many owners have changed, the garden and historical boundaries of the estate have been lost, yard structures have been demolished, but the house, despite repeated perestroika (1858, 1870, 1889), still retained its characteristic features. At the end of the XIX century, the owners of the house were the brothers D. and P. Botkin.

In 1889, the artist, collector and philanthropist I.S. was married to the daughter of the millionaire tea merchant Peter Botkin. Ostroukhov (1858-1929), who since 1890 became the owner of the house.

At it the house was reconstructed with reference to needs and tastes of a family that in many respects was defined by collective activity of the owner. To create the proper conditions for storing and exhibiting collections, as well as for painting by the side street, in 1905 a single-storeyed stone annex was built, which in 1914 was completed by the second floor and a new stone two-storey residential annex from the yard

Здание(я):

Em 1889, o artista, coletor e filantropo I.S.
