73 years later, the MoMA of New York again has an exhibition on fashion.

There are more than 100 pieces of clothing and accessories that are part of the new exhibition of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Items: Is Fashion Modern? wants to get us talking about fashion, which has not happened since 1944.

A pair of Levi's 501, Chanel No. 5 jars and a simple white T-shirt: three of the 111 universal objects to be assembled at the new MoMA exhibition, the New York Museum of Modern Art, open to the public from 1 October of this year.

It took six months to find the ideal pieces for this new exhibition, which brings together the best versions of the classic Little Black Dress, variations of the hijab and even a pair of All Star Converse tennis shoes. The goal was to bring together objects that have - and continue to have - a profound impact on the world over the last century. Timeless and iconic pieces worn by grandparents, parents and grandchildren.

Curated by Paola Antonelli, Items: Is Fashion Modern? is almost an extension of the last fashion show organized by the museum 73 years ago, which asked Are Clothes Modern? and explored individual and collective relationships with clothing in times of war and conservatism.

And although this new collection includes some conceptual pieces made by designers? as is the case, for example, of the famous A-POC dress of Issey Miyake?, the idea is not to explore the uniqueness of certain creations. As Antonelli explains in an interview to the Sotheby's Museum Network project site, "what's in the spotlight here is not the designer's personality, a specific style or an era. given to an individual object ".

The pieces, which from the outset may seem random, will be distributed in spaces separated by themes: an area dedicated to the concepts of size and shape will present pieces such as wonderbra, while another room will explore the theme of the relationship between modesty and rebellion with hoodies, high collar sweaters, hijabs and bikinis.

46th Festival of folk dances. "a dream of harmony among peoples". Anoghianós (Ανωγειανός) - 46º Festival de danças folclóricas. "Um sonho de harmonia entre os povos".

Dance is one of the best expressions of the Greek spirit - its martyrdoms, its conquests and celebrations, its day to day, its immense joys and deep sorrows. In their presentations, the Zorbas group always seeks to convey the myriad of feelings inherent in the way the Greeks see and feel life and the world.

In addition to moments of leisure and entertainment, it also brings a face of culture - beautiful costumes from the mainland and the famous Greek islands and the traditional dishwashing, to the sound of the world-known theme song of the Greek film Zorba - and dance with the public. Zorbas also develops workshops and teaches Greek dance classes.

Anoghianós (Ανωγειανός)

Dance of the island of Crete, the Anoguianos, associated to the dance realized, according to Mythology, by the Kourítes (palace guard).

At Queen Rea's request, the Kourites rhythmically and forcefully beat their feet in the ground and swords against shields so that Kronos, the King of the Titans, would not hear the cry of their newborn son Zeus and find him hidden inside a cave, avoiding , thus, to be swallowed by his father.

The Anoguianos is a characteristic dance of the village of Anóguia Milopotamos - near the cave of Zeus (slope of Mount Ida).

Dance of the Village Anóguia. The group presents dances from Crete, the largest Greek island, inhabited in antiquity by the Minoan civilization, whose palace was in the town of Knossos, site of the labyrinth of the Minotaur, according to mythology.

At a time when intolerance between peoples and groups in many countries, involving historical, economic and cultural aspects is increasing, this reality seems far from Brazil.

We believe that this festival is the faithful portrait of this coexistence among peoples - a quality to be exalted at every opportunity.

In addition, we must highlight the cultural importance of this event, as well as the participation of different folk groups.

We believe that, for many of these participating groups, this annual Festival is an important reference for the continuity of its activities, bringing its members to new choreography or rehearsals.

46º Festival de danças folclóricas. "Um sonho de harmonia entre os povos". Anoghianós (Ανωγειανός)

Anoghianós (Ανωγειανός)

Sayat-Nova

In Armenia, Sayat Nova is considered a great poet who made a considerable contribution to the Armenian poetry and music of his century. Although he lived his entire life in a deeply religious society, his works are mostly secular and full of romantic expressionism.

About 220 songs have been attributed to Sayat-Nova, although he may have written thousands more. He wrote his songs in Armenian, Georgian, Persian; however, most of his extant songs are in Azeri Turkish. Sayat Nova had also written some poems moving between all four.

For the Armenian town, see Sayat-Nova, Armenia.

For 1968 film known as Sayat Nova.

Sayat-Nova (Armenian: Սայաթ-Նովա; Azerbaijani/Persian: سایات‌نووا / Sayat Nova; Georgian: საიათნოვა; born Harutyun Sayatyan; 1712/1722 – 22 September 1795) was an Armenian poet, musician and ashugh, who had compositions in a number of languages.

Kilikia presents the Armenian dance.

His songs are in Armenian, Georgian, Azerbaijani, and Persian.
The name Sayat-Nova means "King of Songs" in Persian.

Sayat-Nova's mother, Sara, was born in Tiflis, and his father, Karapet, either in Aleppo or Adana. He was born in Tiflis.

Sayat Nova was skilled in writing poetry, singing, and playing the kamancheh, Chonguri, Tambur.

He performed in the court of King Heraclius II of Georgia, where he also worked as a diplomat and, apparently, helped forge an alliance between Georgia, Armenia and Shirvan against the Persian Empire.

He lost his position at the royal court when he fell in love with the king's sister Ana; he spent the rest of his life as an itinerant bard.

In 1759 he was ordained as a priest in the Armenian Apostolic Church.

His wife Marmar died in 1768, leaving behind four children.
He served in locations including Tiflis and Haghpat Monastery.

In 1795 he was killed in Haghpat Monastery by the invading army of Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar, the Shah of Iran.

Agha Mohammad Khan demanded that Sayat Nova convert from Christianity to Islam, which he refused to do, considering it tantamount to 'turning Turk' and declaring his religion is undeniably Armenian Christian.

Hence he was promptly executed and beheaded. He is buried at the Cathedral of Saint George, Tbilisi.

A cultura e o amor devem estar juntos.
Vamos compartilhar.

Culture is not what enters the eyes and ears,

but what modifies the way of looking and hearing.
