On January 25th (Thursday), the 464th anniversary of São Paulo, the capital of São Paulo receives the reopening of the São Paulo Energy Museum in the city center. After a closed year, the space, maintained by the Energy and Sanitation Foundation, will have new rooms and audiovisual resources that deal with themes such as the history of public lighting in the city and the sustainable use of energy, as well as a Space of Waters.
Installed on the ground floor of the Energy Museum, a new room will introduce the visitor, through videos, photos and museum objects, to the history of public lighting services in the capital from the time of the 19th century oil lamps. , until the arrival of electric power and the changes that this has brought in the daily life of Paulista - often recorded by the eyes of poets like Oswald de Andrade.
On the upper floor, the highlight is the Space of Waters, an environment that addresses both the history of the relationship between the city of São Paulo and its waters, as well as the way it goes, from reservoirs to faucets, as well as current questions about the need the conscious use of water resources.
Open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 5pm, the space will have free admission. On the anniversary of the city, monitored visits will be offered at 11am, 2pm and 4pm.
EXHIBITIONS
Next to reopening, the Museum inaugurates the temporary exhibition Unlikely encounters of a place in common, which features works by multimedia artists Cadu, Guto Lacaz, Paulo Nenflídio and Regina Silveira. Scattered across the two floors of the Museum, the works interact in a particular way with the themes of water and energy. The temporary exhibition will be open to the public until June 24.
Still in the outer area of the Museum, there will be a permanent place for exhibitions of graffiti and murals with themes related to energy and water themes. Annually, new artists will be invited to the aesthetic reformulation of space. Monica Martins, owner of Galeria Fresta, signs the first curatorial of the exterior area of the Museum, which will have the participation of Binho Ribeiro, Tinho, Bieto, Inea, Gallé, Ficko, Célio, Mogle and Paulo Ito.
The project aims to create an area of appreciation, interaction, reflection and artistic expression in the region surrounding the Museum, in the Champs Elysees. The graffiti will be held between January 18 and 24 and the artists will be supporting the action with the use of their own material.

Museu da Energia de São Paulo, em Sçao Paulo, Brasil, será reaberto dia 25 de janeiro de 2018.
No dia 25 de janeiro (quinta-feira), aniversário de 464 anos de São Paulo, a capital paulista recebe de presente a reabertura do Museu da Energia de São Paulo , no centro da cidade. Após um ano fechado, o espaço, mantido pela Fundação Energia e Saneamento, contará com novas salas e recursos audiovisuais que abordam temas como a história da iluminação pública na cidade e o uso sustentável da energia, além de um Espaço das Águas .
Instalada no andar térreo do Museu da Energia, uma nova sala apresentará ao visitante, por meio de vídeos, fotos e objetos museológicos, a história dos serviços de iluminação pública na capital, desde os tempos dos lampiões abastecidos a óleo de peixe, no século 19, até a chegada da energia elétrica e as mudanças que esta acarretou na vida cotidiana do paulistano - muitas vezes registradas pelo olhar de poetas como Oswald de Andrade.
No andar superior, o destaque fica por conta do Espaço das Águas , ambiente que aborda tanto a história da relação da cidade de São Paulo com suas águas como o caminho que esta percorre, dos reservatórios até a torneira, além de questões atuais sobre a necessidade do uso consciente dos recursos hídricos.
Aberto de terça a sábado, das 10h às 17h, o espaço terá entrada gratuita . No aniversário da cidade, serão oferecidas visitas monitoradas às 11h, 14h e 16h.
EXPOSIÇÕES
Junto à reabertura, o Museu inaugura a exposição temporária Encontros improváveis de um lugar em comum , que apresenta obras dos artistas multimídia Cadu, Guto Lacaz, Paulo Nenflídio e Regina Silveira. Espalhadas pelos dois andares do Museu, as obras dialogam, de forma particular, com os temas água e energia . A exposição temporária estará aberta ao público até 24 de junho.
Ainda na área externa do Museu, haverá um local permanente para exposições de grafites e pinturas murais com temática relacionada aos temas energia e água. Anualmente, novos artistas serão convidados para a reformulação estética do espaço. Mônica Martins, proprietária da Galeria Fresta, assina a primeira curadoria da área externa do Museu, que terá a participação de Binho Ribeiro, Tinho, Bieto, Inea, Gallé, Ficko, Célio, Mogle e Paulo Ito.
O projeto tem como objetivo criar uma área de apreciação, convívio, reflexão e expressão artística na região do entorno do Museu, nos Campos Elíseos. Os grafites serão realizados entre os dias 18 e 24 de janeiro e os artistas estarão apoiando a ação com o uso de material próprio.
