She has been preparing for months but we are now entering the home stretch. The event exhibition of the museum of Grenoble on ancient Egypt will open its doors to the public on October 25th.

The exhibition, prepared in collaboration with the Louvre Museum, entitled "Serving the Gods of Egypt: Divine Adorers, Singers and Priests from Amun to Thebes", offers an archaeological dive in the mighty city of Thebes 3,000 years ago.

To welcome the treasures of Egyptian civilization is first and foremost a technical challenge.

4
"All the paintings used are still water-based paints," says Florence Gombert-Meurice, curator in chief of the Louvre Museum and curator of the exhibition.

5
"Plinths that receive metals are all covered with a very special paint that serves as a vapor barrier to prevent acid fumes"

Still a little patience. The exhibition will be open to the public from October 25, 2018 to January 27, 2019.
