Every Friday the Van Gogh Museum is open until 10 pm with a packed programme. Did you know that every first Friday of the month the museum organizes a grand event? The other Friday Nights are designed a bit smaller with a DJ, VJ, cocktail bar, free guided tours and the return of one of the acts of the first night.
Design competition Friday-Night carpet Van Gogh Museum and Desso
In collaboration with Desso, the Van Gogh Museum organizes a design competition, inviting designers to express their ideas about Vincent van Gogh and the Van Gogh Museum by designing a unique carpet. In close cooperation with the designer, Desso will make the winning concept into a carpet that will be the eye-catcher of the central hall of the museum each Friday Night.
A professional jury will judge all entries. The top-five entries will receive personal feedback on their design by Axel Rüger (Director Van Gogh Museum), Bas Kosters (designer and visual artist), Thomas Widdershoven (Creative Director Design Academy Eindhoven) and Léon Stolk (Creative Director Bourne Design), among others.

Online tickets
To join a Friday Night, you only need a ticket to the Van Gogh Museum. For fast access, order your ticket online. You don't need to print your e-ticket, just show it on your smartphone (iOS or Android) at the museum entrance.
