Meia dúzia de homens retira cuidadosamente as velhas telhas do casarão principal da Fazenda São Bernardo, na zona rural de Rafard (SP). Enquanto isso, no chão, outro funcionário as lava uma por uma antes de subi-las novamente aos devidos lugares, onde estão desde 1875.
Esse processo minucioso faz parte da primeira etapa de restauração da casa onde Tarsila do Amaral nasceu e viveu até 9 anos de idade. O local será transformado em um museu interativo ligado ao modernismo, movimento que influenciou as artes e o design na primeira metade do século 20 e do qual a pintora fez parte.
Nesta quinta-feira (11) são comemorados 94 anos do início da Semana de Arte Moderna de 1922. O evento foi realizado até 18 de fevereiro daquele ano e "inaugurou" o movimento modernista no Brasil.
Quadrante Caipira
Quem chega pelo portão principal da residência logo vê a escadaria do casarão, que leva à varanda. A porta de duas folhas exibe sua beleza em meio a algumas teias de aranha. De lá de cima é possível contemplar um amplo campo de futebol de várzea e um rancho, palcos de luais e outros eventos promovidos pela Abaçaí. Em volta, atrás das árvores, há escola, igreja, laboratório da usina, cocheira, tudo desativado.
A casa também é rodeada de várias moradias menores, algumas tombadas e outras não. Com tantos espaços disponíveis, a Abaçaí abraçou o lugar com o objetivo de transformar a Fazenda São Bernardo no "Quadrante Caipira", um espaço para fomentar a cultura do interior paulista por meio de aulas de teatro, dança, música, artesanato, apresentações, encontros, manifestações tradicionais e ações com a comunidade. O espaço será denominado Centro Cultural Luz de Pirilampos.
O turismo também deve ser explorado. Em pouco mais de um ano de trabalho, um dos projetos desenvolvidos pela entidade está em fase avançada. "Estamos ensinando adolescentes da cidade a lidar com cavalos e já temos algumas charretes. As pessoas trazem os cavalos e os meninos são preparados para conduzirem os turistas em passeios, não só pelo ambiente interno da fazenda, mas por alguns pontos de Rafard, como a antiga Usina Hidrelétrica Leopoldina", detalhou Macedo.

A primeira etapa da restauração é realizada com uma verba de R$ 424 mil cedida pela Raízen, empresa do Grupo do Cosan, por meio do Programa de Ação Cultural (ProAC), da Secretaria de Cultura do Estado de São Paulo. Há pouco mais de um ano, o casarão foi doado à Abaçaí pela Radar, gestora de propriedades da companhia sucroalcooleira, com mais 31 hectares de terras.
Parte da Fazenda São Bernardo é tombada pelo Conselho de Defesa do Patrimônio Histórico, Arqueológico, Artístico e Turístico (Condephaat) desde 2011, por ser considerado patrimônio histórico e cultural de Rafard, Capivari (SP) e Mombuca (SP). Antes de Rafard conquistar emancipação, há 51 anos, a área onde a propriedade está localizada pertencia a Capivari.
A segunda parte do restauro será voltada ao interior da casa, que é feita de pau a pique e barrotes de bambu amarrados com cipó. "É o único bem significativo em pau a pique de Rafard", disse o diretor cultural da Abaçaí. Somando todos os prédios hoje pertencentes à entidade, Macedo prevê que a intervenção deve custar aproximadamente R$ 1 milhão. "Mas estamos trabalhando por etapas. Nosso fôlego no momento é para cuidarmos do casarão."
