1. Why does LFWF resonate with you, personally?
”LFW Festival is my favourite part of fashion week. It gives me the opportunity to interact with my customers and I’m always so happy to see returning faces! The atmosphere is incredibly vibrant and everyone has a lot of fun – designers and shoppers alike.”
2. How would you describe the spirit and ethos of your brand?
“What I most wanted to accomplish with my brand was to combine my love of sculpture with ready-to-wear pieces, and create an aesthetic that is unique whilst remaining wearable for my customers.”
3. How did you get your start in fashion?
“After graduating for Parson’s in Paris, I worked on creating bespoke pieces for celebrities and VIP clients. I was impressed with the reaction to these garments and worked on building collections around them. At the start of my career, I showcased at LFW, with the support of Erin O’Connor and Samantha Cameron. From this I was scouted by Vogue’s Charlotte Stockdale to design catwalk pieces for Victoria’s Secret. The press that I received helped to bring recognition from the brand, and it’s grown from there.”
4. What is the most important thing you’ve learned from your career in the fashion industry?
“I would say, staying true to my signature aesthetic is the most important lesson that I’ve learnt. It’s something that I’ve built upon for many years and it’s what my customer, returns to the brand for.”
5. What inspired your AW18 collection?
“For this season in particular, I was influenced by the incredible works of Yayoi Kusama. I love her use of symmetry, illusion and mirroring. Her 2017 ‘Flower Obsession’ installation is a favourite of mine.”
