ՀՈՎՀԱՆՆԵՍ ԹՈՒՄԱՆՅԱՆԻ ԹԱՆԳԱՐԱՆԻ ՊԱՏՄՈՒԹՅՈՒՆԸ -- JOHN'S MUSEU HISTÓRICO Armênia. -- JOHN'S HISTORY MUSEUM

1953թ. ապրիլից, Երևանի Մոսկովյան 40 հասցեում, ճարտարապետ Գրիգոր Աղաբաբյանի նախագծով բացվեց մեծ մտածող, հումանիստ, գրող, հեքիաթագիր Հովհ. Թումանյանի թանգարանը, որտեղ խնամքով պահվում է ավելի քան 18000 ցուցանմուշ:

Թանգարանի երկրորդ հարկում գտնվող վեց սրահներում ամենայն մանրամասնությամբ վերարտադրված է Հովհ. Թումանյանի Թիֆլիսյան վերջին բնակարանը: Նույն հարկում առանձին սրահում ներկայացված է թանգարանի մեծագույն արժեքներից մեկը` Հովհ. Թումանյանի անձնական բացառիկ ու բազմաբնույթ գրադարանը մոտ 8000 գրքով: 

Գրողի հասարակական գործչի կյանքին և գործունեությանը վերաբերող նյութերը /լուսանկարներ, նամակներ, փաստաթղթեր, ձեռագրեր, հեքիաթների և պատմվածքների թեմաներով ստեղծված նկարազարդումներ /ժամանակագրական կարգով ցուցադրված են առաջին հարկում , որտեղից էլ սկսվում է այցելուի ծանոթությունը թանգարանի հետ:

Խորհրդավոր տպավորություն է թողնում Թիֆլիսի «Վերնատան» կրկնօրինակը:Թվում է, թե հիմա, ուր որ է`Թումանյանի գլխավորությամբ այստեղ կհայտնվեն 19-րդ դարավերջի և 20-րդ դարասկզբի մեր մեծ մտավորականները` Ղ. Աղայանը, Լ. Շանթը, Դ. Դեմիրճյանը, Կոմիտասը, Բաշինջաղյանը, Իսահակյանը և կսկսվի բուռն և իմաստուն զրույցը: 

Թանգարանը հարուստ է նաև կերպարվեստի գլուխգործոցներով, որոնք զարդարել են Թումանյանի բնակարանն իր կենդանության օրոք /Գ. Խանջյան, Ալ.Գրիգորյան և այլոք/: Թանգարանի ուշագրավ անկյուններից է նաև «Լոռվա ձորը» համայնապատկերը, որի դիտումն ուղեկցվում է «Անուշ» օպերայի հնչյուններով` այցելուին տեղափոխելով Հայաստանի հյուսիսային ամենից գեղեցիկ անկյուններից մեկը:

Երկրորդ հարկում գտնվում է ընդարձակ, լուսավոր դահլիճ` նախատեսված ցուցահանդեսների, միջոցառումների, ներկայացումների համար: Թանգարանի ձմեռային այգին թումանյանական թեմաներով քանդակի յուրատեսակ ցուցահանդես է:

Թանգարանի ներքին բակում Թումանյանի սիրած պտղատու ծառերով ու ծաղիկներով բաց այգին է` փոքրիկ ջրավազանով:
