Officially known as the Sultanate of Oman, the Arab state of Oman located in the south eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula to the south western part of the continent of Asia, has the United Arab Emirate to its north west, Yemen to its south west and Saudi Arabia to its west. The country is a kingdom that has since generations been ruled by a hereditary sovereign and the Sultan has the final authority.

His wisdom has helped Oman to receive great significance and has always maintained diplomatic relations with its neighbours and the world. The Omani culture is deeply rooted in the Islamic religion and the country has created its own specific form of religion known as Ibadhism, so named after the founder Abdullah bin Ibadh.
