Está aberta a seleção de obras para a mostra coletiva:

“William Shakespeare – 400 Anos Depois” 

Em abril deste ano o Museu Mineiro, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brasil, vai apresentar, em sua galeria de exposições temporárias, a mostra “William Shakespeare – 400 Anos Depois”. A coletiva será composta de trabalhos escolhidos a partir de edital aberto pela Superintendência de Museus e Artes Visuais (Sumav) da Secretaria de Cultura do Estado (SEC) de Minas Gerais. Os interessados em participar da seleção tem até o dia 12 de fevereiro para se inscreverem no certame.

É necessário imprimir a ficha de inscrição disponível no site da SEC e entregar pessoalmente ou por meio do Sedex duas vias do documento à Sumav. De acordo com Angelina Camelo Bagetti, coordenadora do Museu Mineiro, o objetivo é acolher obras em diversas linguagens, desde que o tema abordado esteja relacionado com a obra do poeta e dramaturgo inglês.

“As pessoas podem sugerir tanto uma instalação, quanto uma pintura, uma escultura, uma cerâmica, um desenho, uma aquarela, ou seja, qualquer possibilidade de linguagem dentro do segmento das artes visuais será aceita. O artista, que deve ser brasileiro ou estrangeiro radicado no país, pode inscrever até duas obras. Assim, à medida que as propostas forem chegando, a comissão vai analisar o conteúdo e, a partir disso, será feito um projeto expográfico para acolher esse conjunto”, explica.

Bagetti conta que essa iniciativa foi concebida no segundo semestre do ano passado, quando o Museu Mineiro estreitou diálogos com o Centro de Estudos Shakespeareanos. “Nós notamos que neste ano se comemora os 400 anos da morte de Shakespeare, então tivemos a ideia de realizar esse projeto. Percebemos que há uma influência muito forte desse autor na cultura, especialmente na área de teatro, e resolvemos trazer um pouco dessa referência para as artes visuais”, pontua.

“Nós estamos deslocando um pouco as questões trabalhadas por esse autor do contexto das artes cênicas para as artes visuais. O museu é um espaço interessante para se compartilhar diversos temas de maneira ampla e imaginamos que isso poderá ser alcançado por meio da participação dos artistas”, conclui ela.

Bagetti account that this initiative was conceived in the second half of last year, when the Mining Museum narrowed dialogues with Shakespearean Studies Center. "We noticed that this year marks the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, then we had the idea to do this project. We realize that there is a very strong influence of this author in the culture, especially in the theater area, and decided to bring some of that reference to the visual arts, "he points out.

"We are moving a little issues worked by this author the context of performing arts to visual arts. The museum is an interesting space to share various topics broadly and imagine that this can be achieved through the participation of artists, "she concludes.
