National Costume Museum and National Museum of Theater and Dance among more than 180 participating cultural institutions.

3000 years of world fashion were available in the largest virtual exhibition of its kind ever made. The "We Wear Culture" project of Google Arts & Culture includes the National Museum of Theater and Dance and the National Costume Museum among more than 180 cultural institutions in New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Sao Paulo And from all over the world.

The famous and gaudy costumes of the Gaio Verde Ballet from the National Theater and Dance Museum and other costumes are available online as part of this inaugural global exhibition. The National Costume Museum offers various exhibitions of historical costumes to this day, including an unknown exhibition of the public eye.

With state-of-the-art technology, the project allows you to explore from the ancient Silk Road to the history of the clothes we wear today, going through the fashionable courtesan of Versailles and British punk. Iconic pieces that changed the way successive generations dressed, such as Marilyn Monroe's glass socks or Chanel's black dress, now in virtual reality.

The exhibitions include fashion icons, their movements, references and trends, such as Alexander McQueen, Marilyn Monroe, Cristóbal Balenciaga, Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, Christian Dior, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Yves Saint Laurent, Manolo Blahnik, Gianni Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Pierre Balmain, Vivienne Westwood, Miyake Issey, among many others.

3000 anos de moda mundial ficaram disponíveis na maior exposição virtual deste tipo jamais realizada. O projecto ”We Wear Culture”, do Google Arts & Culture, conta com a participação do Museu Nacional do Teatro e da Dança e do Museu Nacional do Traje entre mais de 180 instituições culturais de Nova Iorque, Londres, Paris, Tóquio, São Paulo e de todo o mundo.

Os famosos e marcantes figurinos dos Bailados Verde Gaio do Museu Nacional do Teatro e da Dança e outros trajes ficam disponíveis online como parte desta exposição global que se inaugurou. Já o Museu Nacional do Traje disponibiliza várias exposições de trajes históricos até aos dias de hoje, inclusivamente uma exposição desconhecida do olhar do público.

Com o recurso a tecnologia de ponta, o projeto permite explorar desde a antiga Rota da Seda à história das roupas que usamos nos nossos dias, passando pela moda cortesã de Versalhes e pelo punk britânico. Peças icónicas que mudaram a forma como as sucessivas gerações se vestiram, como foram as meias de vidro de Marilyn Monroe ou o vestido preto de Chanel, agora em realidade virtual.
