Paio Soares Taveirós: Born on January 1, 1200, he was a troubadour from the first half of the 12th century, from the Galician small nobility. He was the author of the famous Cantiga da garvaia, for a long time considered the first poetic work in the Galician-Portuguese language.
Portuguese troubadour, descendant of a middle nobility family from the Minho region and brother of another troubadour, Pêro Velho de Taveirós. He left us six love songs, three friend songs, two tensions, one in partnership with Martim Soares and the other with his brother.
