A professora Letícia Andreatta, o marido e o filho reservaram a manhã desta quarta-feira (9) para um programa diferente: participaram da visita guiada ao cemitério São Francisco de Paula, o Cemitério Municipal. Assim como eles, mais de 100 pessoas correram para se inscrever para os grupos que nos próximos dias irão conhecer detalhes do cemitério, guiados pela pesquisadora Clarissa Grassi.

Letícia diz que foi movida pela curiosidade. “É muito interessante, principalmente porque conta a história de Curitiba. São personagens reais”, disse a professora.
As três visitas marcadas para julho estão com todas as vagas preenchidas. A previsão é que na próxima semana sejam anunciadas as datas programadas para agosto. Os grupos, com 35 pessoas, unem jovens e adultos que, em duas horas, ouvem atentos as explicações detalhadas sobre 54 túmulos, suas obras de arte e a simbologia.
Para Andrea Salgueiro, a visita monitorada superou as expectativas. “O cemitério é o espelho de uma cidade. Já tinha feito o percurso em Buenos Aires e agora, com a oferta feita pela Prefeitura de Curitiba para conhecer o cemitério daqui, não podia perder a oportunidade. E valeu a pena”, disse Andrea, que também participou do grupo nesta quarta.
O historiador Marcio Santos era um dos mais atentos do grupo. Anotou todas as informações e os significados dos túmulos, esculturas e obras de arte e de grande valor histórico. “Estou gostando muito. É exemplar”, disse ele.
A guia é a pesquisadora Clarissa Grassi, que há 11 anos estuda a arte tumular no Cemitério Municipal de Curitiba e está lançando seu segundo livro, intitulado “Guia de visita ao cemitério municipal”. “São mais de 100 túmulos representativos inseridos no livro”, explicou. Ela também é autora do livro “Um Olhar... A Arte do Silêncio”, sobre o mesmo assunto.
“Faço um trabalho voluntário para a Prefeitura de Curitiba, monitorando grupos de visita ao cemitério e tenho notado que a curiosidade é o que move a vinda das pessoas. Elas querem saber o que tem de significativo”, diz a pesquisadora, lembrando que a simbologia existente nos túmulos dá uma boa noção da história da cidade.
O Cemitério São Francisco de Paula abriga muitos túmulos com esculturas e obras arquitetônicas, o que o torna um museu a céu aberto. O passeio é uma aula de história e do desenvolvimento social e econômico da cidade a partir do fim do século 19. A utilização de materiais nobres como o mármore Carrara, azulejos e ferragens vindos da Europa e a suntuosidade na construção de mausoléus, capelas e túmulos mostram o poder econômico das famílias pioneiras. “Muitos túmulos ostentam esculturas sacras que são verdadeiras obras de arte”, diz Clarissa.
O Cemitério Municipal abriga mais de 80 mil mortos. São 160 anos de história e muitos significados que podem ser vistos em trabalhos esculpidos em granito, mármore e bronze de artistas famosos. “É um verdadeiro acervo escultórico e arquitetônico a céu aberto, guardando os restos mortais de muitas personalidades imortais de nossa história”, explica Clarissa. Ela diz que a arte tumular é uma cultura preservada no silêncio e muito interessante de ser contemplada.
