Historical background of the National Museum, Bangkok goes back to the year 1874. 

In that year His Majesty the King Rama V opened the first public "museum" to exhibit the previous royal collection of King Rama IV and other objects in general topics at the Concordia Pavillion inside the Grand Palace. 

Later, the Museum was transferred to "Wang Na", once a Palace to the Front or palace of the Prince Successor. 

In 1926, it became the "Bangkok Museum" and then developed to be the National Museum, Bangkok when it was organized under the Department of Fine Arts in 1933.

The first building in the museum compound contains the Thai History Gallery, which outlines the history of the Thai people. Inside this building there is also a museum shop selling souvenirs, books on the museum and other Thai cultures, and handicrafts.

O Museu Nacional de Bangkok

Antecedentes históricos do Museu Nacional, Bangkok remonta ao ano de 1874.

Naquele ano, Sua Majestade o Rei Rama V abriu o primeiro "museu" pública para expor a coleção real anterior do rei Rama IV e outros objetos em temas gerais no Concordia Pavillion dentro do Grand Palace.

Mais tarde, o Museu foi transferido para "Wang Na", uma vez um palácio para a frente ou o palácio do Sucessor Príncipe.

Em 1926, tornou-se o "Bangkok Museu" e, em seguida, desenvolvido para ser o Museu Nacional, Bangkok quando foi organizada no âmbito do Departamento de Belas Artes, em 1933.
