.: Gallery25 in Gyumri, Armenia

Gallery25 in Gyumri was founded in 2001 and now has 16 active members and artists. It is located at Berlin Art Hotel, Haghtanaki 25 Gyumri (the name of the gallery comes from the street number it is located), where all 15 rooms and the halls feature the works of local artists. Since its establishment the gallery is a place of various exhibitions of local and international artists, as well as one of the centers hosting Gyumri Biennial of Contemporary Art.

Gallery is centrally located, close to museums of Gyumri and its old city with 19th century architecture and ancient history.

Gallery 25 has supported the participation of its members in artist in residency projects in Europe and the United States, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in particular.

The gallery has arranged numerous exhibitions in Armenia, Georgia and European countries, as well as initiated and headed “Art for Charity” project aimed at supporting the special needs school N 3 in Gyumri, financing the project with the amount of sold works in Fresno, CA, USA.

Berlin Art Hotel is located in the heart of Gyumri. It is within a short walking distance of the historic market, restaurants and cafés, as well as museums and churches. The main bus station is a short 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

After the disastrous earthquake in December of 1988 the outpatient clinic “Berlin Centre for Mother and Child” was erected in Gyumri by the association “Berlin Aid for Armenia” under the direction of the German Red Cross, Berlin Branch.

Berlin Art Hotel in Gyumri is a social pilot enterprise of the German Red Cross in Berlin. As a non-profit organization, its only purpose is to contribute to the support and further development of medical care in the outpatient clinic “Berlin Centre for Mother and Child”.

The hotel opened its doors to guests in 1996. Since that time it is a favorite of international travelers. What sets this hotel apart from other local hotels is the art Gallery25. All 15 rooms feature the art works of local and international artists.
