History
In considering how to utilize the networks with foreign organizations and artists that the museum has independently created thus far, and how to pursue collaboration with the community against the backdrop of yearly increasing creation projects by domestic artists (related to Kochi Prefecture), the museum launched the Artist-in-Residence Program after winning a grant of the Overseas Dissemination Base Formation Project launched by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2011.
Year of (Program) Commencement
2011
Program Objectives
The Program is designed to give support to artists in various genres so that they will conduct community-based activities by utilizing the networks with foreign organizations and artists that the museum has independently created thus far, developing a network with artists from countries and regions with which the museum has had no relations thus far, and conducting activities making use of the specialty of the museum which has a hall.
