Landscape in new Kwanza banknotes is Angolans art. --- Paisagem em novas notas de kwanza é angolanos arte

Luanda - A team of Angolan staff and technicians worked on the design of landscapes, natural and cultural aspects of the country, portrayed in the banknotes of 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 and 2000 Kwanzas put into circulation in March 2013.


This information was released Friday by the artist and co-author of the new Kwanza family notes, Horacio da Mesquita while speaking to the press at the inauguration of the Currency Museum.


About the Currency Museum, he said that this is the reposition of the true identity of the country, a tourist guide and reference point of some elements of the Angolan culture.

The museum will offer interactivity and some surprises, according to the work's architect's, the Angolan Filomeno Fialho, who said that the infrastructure will be open to the public from Friday.

One of the objectives of the new museum is to contribute to the dissemination of financial education programs.
