O Instituto da Cultura Árabe, em parceria com a Livraria Martins Fontes, promoverá, a partir de 6 de outubro, o curso sobre Arte Islâmica. --- The Institute of Arab Culture, in partnership with Livraria Martins Fontes, promote, from October 6, the course on Islamic Art. --- معهد الثقافة العربية، في شراكة مع لبيع الكتب مارتينز فونتيس، وتعزيز، في الفترة من 6 أكتوبر، وبالطبع على الفن الإسلامي.

O curso, que tem coordenação de Heloisa Abreu Dib Julien, diretora do Instituto, e que será ministrado pelo histotiador Plinio Freire Gomes, examina o caminho que o Islam trilhou para desenvolver sua peculiaríssima cultura estética. Acompanhando quatorze séculos de engajamento com o campo do simbólico, será possível ver a obra-de-arte transformar-se em veículo de acesso ao sobrenatural. Ao todo, serão 4 aulas (6, 13, 20 de outubro (5ªs feiras) e 25 de novembro (6ª feira), das 19h às 21h30.

A fim de ilustrar suas várias facetas, cada aula focalizará uma cidade emblemática na história desta civilização. Os participantes aprenderão a decifrar o sutil sentido místico e filosófico que presidia a construção de seus palácios, mesquitas, jardins. Servindo ao mesmo tempo como expressão da fé, ferramenta especulativa e invocação do sagrado, a arte islâmica é perfeitamente estrangeira para a sensibilidade ocidental moderna. Mas talvez seja precisamente isto que a torne tão fascinante.

Confira o tema de cada encontro

Aula 1: Petra, manifestações artísticas árabes anteriores ao Islã.

Oriente Médio, uma encruzilhada de contatos culturais. O paganismo tribal e o surgimento de um idioma épico comum, base da futura língua corânica. O mundo árabe helenizado, séc. I: os nabateus e o esplendor de Petra.

Aula 2: Meca, o advento do Islam

O Oriente Médio na encruzilhada entre influências helenísticas, mesopotâmicas e persas. Muhammad, um profeta das caravanas. A consolidação do Corão e os cinco pilares da fé. Séc. VII.

Aula 3: Damasco, a primeira fase de expansão do Islam.

A morte de Muhammad e sua sucessão. O fundamento de um novo poder teocrático: o califado. Com a nova fé, uma estética original, genuinamente islâmica, começa a ganhar forma. Sécs. VII-VIII.

Aula 4: Baghdad, apogeu da expansão territorial do califado.

A nova fé se afirma a Oriente (Pérsia, Afganistão) e a Ocidente (Egito, Líbia, Tunísia, Península Ibérica). Baghdad, cenário das Mil e uma noites, torna-se centro de um império transcontinental. Sécs. VIII-XI.

Plinio Freire Gomes é mestre em história pela USP. Viveu durante dez anos em Florença, estudando o Renascimento; e seis no Oriente Médio, onde pesquisou arte e cultura islâmica. Atua como conferencista, tendo promovido cursos livres no Masp, Museu de Arte Sacra, Casa do Saber, Fundação Ema Klabin, Museu de Arte Moderna e Centro Universitário Maria Antonia/USP. Organiza viagens culturais, com foco em museus, monumentos e ruínas, em países como Itália, Espanha, Marrocos e Irã.

But perhaps it is precisely this that makes it so fascinating.

Lesson 1: Petra, Arab artistic events predate Islam.

Middle East, a crossroads of cultural contacts. The tribal paganism and the emergence of a common language epic, the basis of future Quranic language. The Hellenized Arab world, century. I: the Nabataeans and the splendor of Petra.

Lesson 2: Mecca, the advent of Islam.

Middle East at the crossroads of Hellenistic influences, Mesopotamian and Persian. Muhammad, a prophet of the caravans. The consolidation of the Koran and the five pillars of faith. Century. VII.

Plinio Gomes Freire holds an MA in history from USP. He lived for ten years in Florence, studying the Renaissance; and six in the Middle East, where he researched Islamic art and culture. It acts as a lecturer, and promoted free courses at MASP, Sacred Art Museum, Casa do Saber, Ema Klabin Foundation, Museum of Modern Art and Centro Universitario Maria Antonia / USP. Organizes cultural trips, focusing on museums, monuments and ruins, in countries like Italy, Spain, Morocco and Iran.

وفاة محمد وخلافته. تأسيس قوة دينية جديدة: الخلافة. مع الإيمان الجديد، جمالية الأصلي والإسلامية بصدق، ويبدأ في التبلور. ثانية. السابع إلى الثامن.


الدرس 4: بغداد، أوج التوسع الإقليمي للخلافة.


الإيمان الجديد يؤكد الشرق (بلاد فارس، أفغانستان) والغرب (مصر، ليبيا، تونس، ايبيريا). بغداد، الإعداد ليلة وليلة ويصبح مركزا لامبراطورية عابرة للقارات. ثانية. الثامن إلى الحادي عشر.


بلنيو جوميز فريري حاصل على درجة الماجستير في التاريخ من جامعة جنوب المحيط الهادئ. عاش لمدة عشر سنوات في فلورنسا، ودراسة عصر النهضة. وستة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، حيث بحثت الفن والثقافة الإسلامية. وهو يعمل كمحاضر وعززت دورات مجانية في MASP، متحف الفن المقدس، لا كازا صابر، مؤسسة ايما Klabin، متحف الفن الحديث ومركز الجامعي ماريا أنطونيا / جامعة جنوب المحيط الهادئ. تنظم رحلات ثقافية، مع التركيز على المتاحف والآثار والأطلال، في دول مثل ايطاليا واسبانيا والمغرب وإيران.
