In a joint action with the community of Ilha do Ferro, Entremontes and Ilha de São Pedro, the reading agents of the Projeto Literaria Ribeirinha Ribeira do Karandash Collection Museum have already begun to visit families from three villages of the São Francisco River to promote the habit of consuming books . The action is another of the stages of the event, which will also count on donations of books, art and education workshops and dialogues with the universe of literature.
During the week, the writers Cláudia Lins and Simone Cavalcante taught a mini-course for the training of 11 reading agents, with instructions on how to approach the residents, suggest books and notions about authors and literary genres. According to Claudia, who is also a journalist, the idea is to stimulate the habit of reading in the three communities. "The proposal is that each member of the beneficiary families read 3 to 4 books until the end of the actions of the Literary Festival."
According to Maria Amelia Vieira, general coordinator of the Literary Festival, the project reaffirms the Barco-Museu as the link that connects the riverside villages through actions that stimulate the dialogue between artists and residents. "Since 2008 Karandash has been developing actions that aim to promote and preserve the culture of the lower São Francisco. We have already done workshops on film, photography, illustration, sculpture, among many others. But it is the first time that our focus is literature, "he says.
Simone Cavalcante, an Alagoan author of children's books, points out that besides encouraging reading, the project will donate more than a thousand books to a region devoid of schools and libraries. "It's just the first step in a big project," he says. "With the action of reading agents, who are in direct contact with the community, visiting families and lending books, we will involve more than two thousand people. The expectation is to make children, adolescents, adults and even the elderly can venture into the literary universe, "he says, adding that in January, Ilha do Ferro will host a series of workshops on creative writing, storytelling, photopoetry , Plastic and visual arts.

Numa ação conjunta com a comunidade da Ilha do Ferro, Entremontes e Ilha de São Pedro, os agentes de leitura do projeto Festa Literária Ribeirinha do Museu Coleção Karandash já começaram a visitar famílias de três povoados do rio São Francisco para promover o hábito de consumir livros. A ação é mais uma das etapas do evento, que contará, também, com doações de livros, oficinas de arte e educação e promoção de diálogos com o universo da literatura.
Durante a semana, as escritoras Cláudia Lins e Simone Cavalcante ministraram um minicurso para o treinamento de 11 agentes de leitura, com instruções sobre como abordar os moradores, sugerir livros e noções sobre autores e gêneros literários. De acordo com Cláudia, que também é jornalista, a ideia é estimular o hábito da leitura nas três comunidades. “A proposta é que cada integrante das famílias beneficiadas leia de 3 a 4 livros até o fim das ações da Festa Literária.”
De acordo com Maria Amelia Vieira, coordenadora-geral da Festa Literária, o projeto reafirma o Barco-Museu como o elo que conecta os povoados ribeirinhos através de ações que estimulam o diálogo entre artistas e moradores. “Desde 2008 a Karandash vem desenvolvendo ações que visam promover e preservar a cultura do baixo São Francisco. Já fizemos oficinas de cinema, fotografia, ilustração, escultura, dentre tantas outras. Mas é a primeira vez que nosso foco é a literatura”, diz.
Já Simone Cavalcante, autora alagoana de livros infantis, destaca que além de estimular a leitura, o projeto vai doar mais de mil livros para uma região carente de escolas e bibliotecas. “É só o primeiro passo de um grande projeto”, conta. “Com a ação dos agentes de leitura, que estão em contato direto com a comunidade, visitando as famílias e emprestando livros, vamos envolver mais de duas mil pessoas. A expectativa é fazer com que crianças, adolescentes, adultos e até pessoas da terceira idade possam se aventurar no universo literário”, diz, acrescentando que em janeiro a Ilha do Ferro vai receber uma série de oficinas de escrita criativa, contação de histórias, fotopoemas, artes plásticas e visuais.
