The Hyatt Foundtion, based in Chicago (Illinois, United States), is a philanthropic foundation established on March 1, 1979 by the Pritzker Family.

The Hyatt, run by the Pritzker family, is often called the "Nobel of Architecture". It is attributed annually to the architect, still alive, who best complies with the principles enunciated by Vitrúvio: solidity, beauty and functionality.

The Catalan office RCR Arquitectes, led by the architects Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Vilalta, was the winner of the Pritzker 2017 Prize.

The three architects, originally from Olot, Catalonia, have been collaborating since the foundation of their company in 1988.

In the statement, the foundation explains that the Pritzker 2017 Award was attributed to them precisely because of its "intensely collaborative way of working together".

O Prémio Pritzker é um premio internacional de arquitetura.

A Hyatt Foundtion, com sede em Chicago (Illinois, Estados Unidos), é uma fundação de carácter filantrópico, criada em 1 de março de 1979 pela Família Pritzker.

A Fundação Hyatt, gerida pela família Pritzker, sendo muitas vezes chamado de "o Nobel da arquitetura" É atribuído anualmente ao arquiteto, ainda em vida, que melhor cumpra os princípios enunciados por Vitrúvio: solidez, beleza e funcionalidade.

O escritório catalão RCR Arquitectes, comandado pelos arquitetos Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem e Vilalta, foi o vencedor do Prêmio Pritzker 2017 . 

Os três arquitetos, originários de Olot, na Catalunha, têm trabalhado em colaboração desde a fundação da sua empresa em 1988. 

No comunicado, a fundação explica que o Prêmio Pritzker 2017 lhes foi atribuído precisamente pelo sua forma “intensamente colaborativa de trabalho em conjunto”.

Tom Pritzker, da Hyatt Foundation, salientou ainda que o trabalho destes três arquitetos é bastante diversificado: de espaços privados a espaços públicos, espaços culturais e instituições educacionais, em todos esses projetos estão evidentes a sua capacidade de se relacionar intensamente com o ambiente específico de cada local e o testemunho do seu processo e integridade profunda.
