Far from the famous pages of the diary, web surfers will be able to chat with the Anne Frank House Museum on Facebook through the chatbot, which the Amsterdam institution launched on Tuesday to spread the story of the famous teenager who died in a camp concentration.
"In today's world, Anne Frank's story is more relevant than ever," said museum director Ronald Leopold, asserting that it is the first "chatbot" - an artificial intelligence computer program - of this kind in one Museum in the world.
"More than 70 years after the war, half of our visitors are under 30," he adds, "so we must find new ways to provide a reliable historical context to create a connection to history."
A chatbot is a computer program with which users can chat directly through Facebook Messenger. It is hoped that the program, based on artificial intelligence, will improve with each question asked by the netizens.
For now, this wizard offers users different options: "Want to know more about the opening hours of the museum?"; "About Anne Frank's story?"; "About your diary or the secret annex where the Frank family was hiding?"; "About your arrest?"; "About your life in Amsterdam before the war?"
"Generations that have lived through the horrors of war are gradually disappearing," said Prince Constantijn, brother of the current king of the Netherlands, who was at the program's launch. "It's important to find new ways to tell a story that should never be forgotten," he said.

A cultura e o amor devem estar juntos.
Vamos compartilhar.
Culture is not what enters the eyes and ears,
but what modifies the way of looking and hearing.
