The Museum of the Tapestry of Portalegre - Guy Fino will undergo renovation and enlargement works, in an intervention that, according to the municipality of Portalegre, starts in February. The works, which will be financed 90% by Turismo de Portugal, are estimated at 400 thousand euros and will run until the end of the year and in a phased way so that the museum can remain open to the public.
The Museum is dedicated to the exhibition, conservation and study of the Tapestries of Portalegre and is housed in Castelo Branco Palace, located in the historic center of that Alentejo city. In it you can appreciate works by authors like Almada Negreiros, Júlio Pomar, Vieira da Silva, Eduardo Nery, Graça Morais, Jean Lurçat, Le Corbusier, among others.
The Tapestries of Portalegre are distinguished by their original technique and the fact that they work with works by contemporary artists who sign the pieces as their own work.
In addition to the permanent exhibition area, the Museum has a gallery of temporary exhibitions, an auditorium, a foyer and a garden, public spaces with the capacity to adapt to various activities of a cultural, artistic and playful nature.

O Museu da Tapeçaria de Portalegre – Guy Fino vai sofrer obras de requalificação e ampliação, numa intervenção que, segundo o município de Portalegre, arranca no mês de fevereiro. As obras, que serão financiadas em 90% pelo Turismo de Portugal, estão estimadas em 400 mil euros e decorrerão até ao final do ano e de forma faseada para que o museu possa continuar aberto ao público.
O Museu dedica-se à exposição, conservação e estudo das Tapeçarias de Portalegre e está instalado no Palácio Castelo Branco, situado no centro histórico daquela cidade alentejana. Nele se podem apreciar obras de autores como Almada Negreiros, Júlio Pomar, Vieira da Silva, Eduardo Nery, Graça Morais, Jean Lurçat, Le Corbusier, entre outros.
As Tapeçarias de Portalegre distinguem-se pela sua técnica original e pelo facto de trabalharem com obras de artistas contemporâneos que assinam as peças como obra sua.
Para além da área de exposições permanente, o Museu dispõe de uma galeria de exposições temporárias, auditório, um foyer e um jardim, espaços públicos com capacidade de adaptação a diversas atividades de carácter cultural, artístico e lúdico.

ويكرس المتحف لمعرض وصيانة ودراسة المفروشات من بورتاليجر ويقع في قصر كاستيلو برانكو، وتقع في المركز التاريخي لتلك المدينة ألينتيجو. في ذلك يمكنك أن نقدر أعمال المؤلفين مثل ألمادا نغريروس، جوليو بومار، فييرا دا سيلفا، إدواردو نيري، غراسا موريس، جان لوركات، لو كوربوزييه، من بين أمور أخرى.
وتتميز المفروشات من بورتاليجر من خلال تقنية الأصلي وحقيقة أنها تعمل مع الفنانين المعاصرين الذين يوقعون القطع كما عملهم.
وبالإضافة إلى منطقة المعرض الدائمة، يضم المتحف معرضا مؤقتا للمعارض، وقاعة، وبهو وحديقة، وأماكن عامة مع القدرة على التكيف مع مختلف الأنشطة الثقافية والفنية والمرح.
