М.: «Храмовый комплекс, включавший Крестовоздвиженскую и Георгиевскую церкви и шатровую колокольню, имел большое градостроительное значение, играя важнейшую роль в формировании панорамы города.
Утрата колокольни считается одной из заметных потерь в силуэте Шуи. Здания Крестовоздвиженского и Георгиевского храмов в целом сохранили фасадные композиции и некоторые элементы оформления фасадов в формах классицизма — периода реконструкции зданий в первой половине XIX века, поэтому их исторический облик вполне может быть восстановлен при проведении натурных исследований и реставрационных работ».
