Ao abrir as suas portas ao Público, o MUSEU DIOCESANO DE SANTARÉM oferece aos Visitantes a possibilidade de descobrir por dentro uma arquitetura monumental, multissecular e extraordinária. De matriz jesuítica mas com reminiscências que transportam o imaginário à antiga vila régia em tempos medievais e modernos, o complexo catedralício constitui referência maior no quadro urbano da Cidade de Santarém.
O MUSEU DIOCESANO DE SANTARÉM oferece também aos Visitantes o privilégio de conhecer dezenas de obras de arte religiosa, raras ou mesmo de todo desconhecidas, que as voltas da História fizeram património de fé do Povo Ribatejano.
Arquitetura e obras de arte religiosa traduzem, na circunstância da sua vocação originária, da sua materialidade, até da sua muita idade e neste espaço concreto, uma ampla cronologia, desde o século XIII aos dias de hoje. Todavia com referenciais que alcançam um tempo ainda mais longo e desafiante de memórias e itinerários simbólicos, religiosos e socioculturais. O Museu Diocesano de Santarém promove, este sábado, a visita “Viagem no Tempo” que permite visitar espaços como a antiga torre do paço de Santarém, atual torre sineira e o corredor nobre.
Trata-se de uma iniciativa no âmbito de parceria entre o FITIJ de Santarém (Festival Internacional de Teatro e Artes para a Infância e Juventude) e o Museu Diocesano daquela cidade, realça uma nota enviada à Agência ECCLESIA.
Esta atividade encerra, pelas 21h, com um concerto de Sílvia Nazário, concerto inaugural da tournée comemorativa dos 30 anos de carreira.
