Скъпи приятели на музея, по повод нашия юбилей, искаме да Ви разкажем историята на единствения български технически музей, как той възниква и се развива, през какви трудности, успехи, а понякога и куриозни ситуации преминава и защо - не само оцелява, но и се превръща от институт, съхраняващ научната и техническа памет - в значима национална културна институция на съвременността и бъдещето.
Разказът е дълъг и пъстър и затова решихме да организираме не само един паметен и празничен ден, а цяла юбилейна година, наситена с интересни събития, които да Ви направят съпричастни с нашата любопитна музейна история и то с Ваше участие...
Основното, в което бихме желали да Ви убедим с нашата програма /и дано успеем/ е, че Националният политехнически музей е различният музей на България.
През годините, той има и своите спадове и своите върхове, но въпреки многото трудности, винаги гледа и върви напред. Цели се в смисъла, в качеството и в трайните резултати, както по отношение на наследството, така и спрямо своята публика. И това се дължи на факта, че в своята дейност, музеят ни следва неотклонно принципите: висок човешки и професионален морал, отговорност към техническото и научно наследство, грижа за образоваността на настоящите и бъдещи поколения българи, толерантност към различията, насърчаване и подкрепа на талантите и иновативното мислене, ангажираност с общественозначимите каузи, респект към традициите, уважение към природата и др.
Към факторите, определящи успеха на музея, можем да добавим още: експертността, желанието и ентусиазма на екипа, доброто партньорство и приятелство с хора и институции от сферите на: науката, образованието, изкуството, производството, бизнеса, медиите, културните индустрии, туризма, иновациите, НПО, социалните институции, доброволците, дарителите и, разбира се, най-вече нашата публика. Фактите, документите, снимките и живите разкази ще го докажат пред Вас.
Екипът на музея наистина твори и живее за своята публика. Затова и тя ни отговаря с уважение и висока оценка, за което сме задължени и много благодарни.

Dear friends of the museum, on the occasion of our anniversary, we want to tell the story of the only Bulgarian technical museum, how it arises and develops through the difficulties, successes and sometimes curious situations passes and why - not only survived, but also turns Institute of storing scientific and technical memory - in major national cultural institution of our time and the future.

Over the years, it has its ups and its peaks, but despite many difficulties and always looking forward. Goals in the sense in quality and enduring results, both in terms of heritage and to its audience.
