The MACAN museum, which also means tiger in Indonesian, enjoys a unique positioning to increase the notoriety of Southeast Asian arts, according to its director.

"We are aiming for the highest international standards, which means that we will be the first to receive international museum loans, and we really want to encourage cultural exchanges as well as professional relations with other museums around the world," he said. said Mr Seeto.

MACAN will be an important institution for the Indonesian capital, added conservative Charles Esche.

"Since the functioning of public institutions is not optimal, it has the potential to be a model for future museums," he said.

About half of the works are Indonesian, 25% European and American, and 25% Asian.

International works include paintings by American Jean-Michel Basquiat and Dutch painter Willem de Kooning, as well as sculptures by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and British artist Damien Hirst.

Lamego is a city in Portugal. - Lamego é uma cidade de Portugal. -

A very ancient city dating back to Roman times, it was definitively reconquered in 1057 by Fernando Magno de Leão to the Moors; when the districts were instituted in 1835 by a reform of Mouzinho da Silveira, Lamego was initially planned as a district seat; but that same year the headquarters of the same was moved to Viseu, due to its more central position.

It was in Lamego that the legendary Cortes de Lamego had passed, where the acclamation of King Afonso Henriques as King of Portugal was established and the "Rules of Succession to the Throne" were established.

It is the seat of the diocese of Lamego (the only Portuguese diocese that does not correspond to a district capital), and in the county there are numerous religious monuments, such as the Cathedral, the Church of San Pedro de Balsemão and the Sanctuary of Our Lady Senhora dos Remédios, which also gives the name to the annual Pilgrimage whose main day is 8 September, which is also the municipal holiday.

It is also known for its gastronomy, in which its hams are distinguished, the "roasted goat with rice from the oven" and the production of wines, namely port wine, whose Demarcated Region is part, and sparkling wines.

The main activities of the municipality are services, commerce and agriculture, this represents an important source of wealth, mainly coming from the wine sector, since the county, like the other municipalities of the region, is integrated in the Douro Demarcated Region . In addition to the production of Port wine, there is also a clear bet on table wines with Controlled Origin Denomination (DOC) and on the production of sparkling wines, which become an important promotional poster at national and international level.

Lamego's business fabric is made up of small units, with few medium-sized units, low-skilled and small-scale employment, turnover and wealth generated. The sectors of monumental and religious tourism have been growing gradually, and it is in them that some potentialities are identified, being recognized some vocations of the county, the registered dynamics is sufficient, although there may be improvements in this sector. This situation has been reinforced by the recent conclusion of the A24, which is a determining factor in attracting regional demand.

Lamego has two large commercial areas, each with a hypermarket and several thirty stores, three medium-sized commercial areas and a few hundred traditional shops. As far as industries are concerned, it has a small industrial area located in the parish of Várzea de Abrunhais.

Lamego is a Portuguese city in the District of Viseu, North Region and Douro sub-region, with about 12 214 inhabitants (2011) being the second largest city in the district. The municipality is situated on the south bank of the Douro river, was part of the traditional province of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and, according to some, it was part of Beira Transmontana, of which was the main city. Considered a historical and monumental city, because it has a great amount of monuments, churches and houses emblazoned, being also a Portuguese diocese.

It is the seat of a municipality with 165.42 km² of area [2] and 26 691 inhabitants (2011), subdivided into 18 parishes. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipalities of Mesão Frio and Peso da Régua, to the east by Armamar, to the southeast by Tarouca, to the southwest by Castro Daire and to the west by Resende.

There has always been a fair frequented by many people, reaching to Gypsy merchants and traders from Córdoba. Trade was lively on New Street, where many Jews settled, building the Synagogue next to the Doors of the Sun.

ARCHEOLOGY

The collection of archeology contains objects that reveal the history and material culture of the peoples of the Middle Kama region, from the Neolithic and Bronze Age of the 2nd millennium BC. and ending with the late Middle Ages of the XVIII - XIX centuries.

The Middle Kama is rich in monuments of antiquity of local Finno-Ugric peoples. The study of these monuments began in the mid-nineteenth century. It was then that the unique burials of the early Iron Age were discovered, interesting finds were made about the stages of the development of the peoples of the Urals. Directly the collection "Archeology" began to replenish since the formation of the museum. Since 1909 Zemsky museum is included in the study of archaeological monuments of the Kama region.

In 1909 members of the Society of Archeology and Ethnography at the Kazan University worked actively in Sarapul. Archaeologist M.M. Khomyakov studied the cemetery of the 17th century.

From the memoirs of one of the founders of the museum, the "lover of archeology," as he called himself, Fedor Vasilievich Streltsov: "In the spring of 1909, on the construction of the Sarapul water pipeline, when the site for the water pump station near the steamship docks leveled, on the so-called" Opolzo ", two common graves were found . Having learned about this, I am in commonwealth with the supervisor of the spiritual school SN. Milovsky went to the site of the finds. In the graves lay the skeletons dumped in them at the time, to prove this disorder, we threw out of the graves all the bones lying on top, leaving only the skulls intact, then part of the skulls, bones, several crosses from the other grave, we transferred to the newly founded local lore museum "(FV Streltsov - Honored Doctor of the USSR, Votkinsk, February 12, 1959" From personal memories "- n / archive MIKSP, inventory 3, case 45, sheet 36).

In 1915, at the invitation of the Sarapul Zemsky Museum, Finnish historians from Helsinki, A.M. Talgren (1885-1945) and M.S. Altman. As a specialist in the field of bronze and iron ages, Arne Talgrena was interested in the discovery of Sarapul archaeologists - Scythian swords of the VI-V centuries. BC. He wrote an article where he made a scientific description of these swords. The article was published in the issue No. 1 of the collection Izvestiya Obshchestva Prikamskogo Krai, Sarapul, 1917.

In 1911 - 1913 years. On behalf of the museum in Sarapul County, archaeological excavations were conducted by the student of the St. Petersburg Institute of Technology Lev Afrikanovich Berkutov. To the excavations he attracted the peasants of Sarapul Uyezd. Ust-Nechkinskoe, Yushkovskoye, Chegandinsky, Sukharevskoe sites of the early Iron Age (Ananyinsko-Pyanoborskaya culture) were investigated. Basically, they found fragments of pottery, bone tools, household items made of clay. It is the results of the excavations of LA. Berkutov served as the basis for the collection of archeology of the Zemsky Museum.

A few dozen ancient settlements were studied in the four prewar years.

The subsequent turbulent events of the First World War, the Revolution and the Civil War did not contribute to scientific work, nor were research conducted in the 1920s and 1940s, at that time single finds were received in the museum's funds, mainly from the ruined burials of the Kama region, manufactured of bronze and iron, in the form of jewelry and weapons.

Serious work on the study of the Kama antiquities began in 1953, in connection with the creation of the Udmurt Archaeological Expedition under the guidance of V.F. Geninga. In the same year, new archaeological cultures of the Kama region were discovered, a number of settlements and cemeteries with a large number of objects of labor, armament and ornaments were studied.

The collection of the Sarapul Museum of Local Lore was re-enriched with material monuments of archeology. Since 1979, a permanent archaeological expedition began to operate under the guidance of the scientific employee of the museum NL. Reshetnikova.

In a joint study with the historical faculty of the Udmurt State University, Tarasovsky, Afoninsky, Ust-Sarapulsky burials were discovered and studied, the materials of which were deposited for permanent storage in the museum's funds. The largest of them, Tarasovsky, contains more than 20 thousand items.

The collection of archeology consists of objects that reveal the history and material culture of the peoples of the Middle Kama region, beginning with the period of the Stone Age (III millennium BC) and ending with the late Middle Ages (17th-19th centuries).

These are instruments of labor and decoration of the tribes of the early Iron Age, funeral implements from the ancient cemeteries of the Kama region with a large number of objects made of bronze and glass. There is a ceramic material from settlements of the Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age with a peculiar ornamentation, treasures of bronze ornaments, discovered by chance and containing items dating from the 1st-3rd centuries. AD, bone handicrafts made in the "animal style" and characteristic of the Ananyin tribes of the VIII - III centuries. BC.

The chronological section of the Bronze Age, the Early Iron Age, and the Early Middle Ages are most fully represented, which allow us to disclose and represent the life and work of our ancestors as representatives of the population and bearers of the ancient culture of the Middle Kama. The composition of the collection is mainly represented by ceramic material, objects of everyday life, hunting and fishing tools, ornaments, which in general gives an idea of the history of the population, the formation and interaction of ethnic groups.

The objects of the Bronze Age that are of greatest interest are those that enable us to trace how the local Finno-Ugric tribes are moving to a more progressive form of farming-farming and cattle-breeding.

Glass objects in the collection (jewelry - beads) give an idea of the existing connections of the peoples of the Kama region with the East and the beginnings of trade.

According to the composition of the early Iron Age of Ananyin and Pyanobor cultures, the formation of a kind of ethno-cultural community, which served as the basis for modern Finno-Permian ethnoses - Udmurts, Mari and Komi-Permyaks with characteristic features of material culture, can be traced.

The archaeological material of Tarasovsky, Ust-Sarapulsky, Afoninsky burial grounds is rich and varied with samples of jewelry and household items of the first half of the 1st millennium AD, which characterizes the life and occupation of the region's population in the early Middle Ages.

In recent years, the materials of the late Middle Ages on the territory of Sarapul, the so-called urban archeology, are being actively studied. Traces of the wooden fortress of the early 18th century are studied, extensive material on the everyday culture of the townspeople over the past three centuries has been obtained.
